Aspiring Network Engineer & student at SMKN 13 Bandung. Building things at the intersection of infrastructure and curiosity — just a 16-year-old student learning by doing.
I'm Galen — a student at SMKN 13 Bandung, currently 16 years old, with a deep curiosity for how networks, servers, and systems work behind the scenes. My journey started from tinkering with home routers, and now I'm actively learning networking fundamentals and Linux administration.
I also run a small coffee business called Kave — a brand I built from scratch. Handling everything from product sourcing to branding and a web presence taught me that technical skill and business sense go hand in hand. Kave isn't just coffee; it's my proof that building something real starts with showing up consistently.
I'm not an expert yet — and I'm honest about that. But I'm learning every day, breaking things, fixing them, and documenting the process.
A small-batch coffee brand I founded and manage independently — from product curation to digital presence.
Things I'm currently building and learning. No finished products — just honest progress.
Setting up a small home lab to practice network topology, VLAN configuration, routing, and basic firewall rules using consumer-grade hardware and virtualization.
Learning to configure a headless Linux server from scratch — managing packages, setting up SSH, basic hardening, and understanding how services run under the hood.
Designed and deployed the official website for Kave — built with React + Vite for the frontend and Node.js powering the backend. Handling domain, hosting on Vercel, and maintaining the online presence as a one-person operation.
A personal roadmap: CCNA prep, containerization with Docker, basic scripting (Bash/Python), and eventually contributing to open-source networking tools.
Understanding OSI model, IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and basic routing concepts through hands-on practice.
Navigating the filesystem, managing users and permissions, working with package managers, and basic server administration via CLI.
Practical experience deploying websites, configuring DNS records, managing hosting platforms like Vercel, and maintaining uptime.
Running Kave taught me product sourcing, branding, customer communication, financial tracking, and building a first small business from zero.
Tools I Use
I'm always open to conversations about networking, Linux, self-hosting, or even coffee. Whether you want to collaborate, share knowledge, or just say hi — feel free to reach out through any of these.
